Opal Lowe

Opal I. Lowe, 79, of Drakesville died at 6:30 a.m. July 31, 1986, in the long-term care unit at Davis County Hospital.

She was born Jan. 17, 1907, in Van Buren County to Arthur and Martha Shipley Wilson. She was affiliated with Milton Christian Church. She married Everett Cles and he died in 1961. She then married H.R. Lowe in November 1970 in Bloomfield.

She is survived by her husband; a stepson, John Lowe of Tahlequah, Okla.; a step-daughter, Madalyn Boatman of Milton; six stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren, a brother, Stanley Wilson of Agency; and a sister, Ruby Gilchrift of Cherokee.

The body has been cremated.

A memorial has been established to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.

Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield was in charge of arrangements.
