Glen V. Lister Sr.

Glen Verlin Lister Sr., 80, died Feb. 25, 1989, at the Iowa Methodist Center in Des Moines.

He was born Nov. 9, 1908, in Davis County to Ira C. and Fannie Daniels Lister. A resident of Davis County all of his life, he was a farmer. He was a member of the Stiles Christian Church and the Farm Bureau.

He married Edith Altheide on June 25, 1930, in Ottumwa.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Glen Jr. of Memphis, Mo.; a daughter, Kathryn Kay Speer of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert and Keith of Bloomfield and two sisters, Elma Fenton and Ardis Fox of Bloomfield.

The funeral was held Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1989, at the Wagler Funeral Home with Kramer Smith officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Stiles Christian Church.
