Alpha Warren Loar

Alpha Warren Loar, 74, died May 30, 1985 in Reno, Nev.

He was born June 27, 1910 in Selma to Bertie Warren and Alta Steel Loar. A retired correctional officer for the Nevada State Prison System, he had lived in Carson City, Nev. for the last 23 years. He previously lived in Troy.

Survivors include two sons, James of Phoenix, Ariz. and David of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanne Wineteer of Hayward, Calif. and Etta Mae Evans of Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Alene Barker of Bloomfield and Anna Hopkins of Pulaski; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Carson City, Nev. Burial was in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City. Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City was in charge of arrangements.
