PAUL LEAVERTON

Services for Paul E. Leaverton, 85, of Lake View, a former state conservation official who helped organize a safety program for hunters, were held Monday at the United Church of Christ. Burial was at Milton with graveside services at 2 p.m.

Mr. Leaverton died Friday after a lingering illness. He worked for the conservation commission from 1934 to 1963 and served as game superintendent and head of land management.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel; four daughters; two sons; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a sister.

"Tot" as he was called by Milton friends was the son of the late Oliver and Elizabeth Leaverton of Milton.

He was a member of the farmed Milton High School Quartet together with John Holland, Gay s. Morgan and Howard Bell.

The Rev. Ed Kail and the Milton Post of the American Legion conducted services.

Arrangements was in charge of Priester Funeral Chapel, Milton.
