Ella Leota Lancaster

Mrs. Ella Leota Lancaster, daughter of Dallas Goff and Lela Russell Goff, was born August 15, 1913, Scotland County, Missouri, and departed this life May 7, 1978, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Mo.

She was united in marriage to Floyd E. Mason, April 21, 1931, and to this union one daughter was born, Virginia Hauk, of Canton, Illinois. After the death of Floyd E. Mason in November 1946, she was then remarried to Alva Jefferson Lancaster on October 31, 1948, to whom she was married for thirty years.

Surviving are her husband, Alva; one daughter, Virginia Hauk; one sister, Pearl Swank, Memphis, Missouri; three grandsons, Rick, Jeff, and Chad Hauk of Canton, Illinois; two nieces, Betty Campbell, Kirksville, Missouri, and Linda Brogan, Memphis; one granddaughter, Kay Morrison and great-granddaughter, Melissa Morrison of Canton, Illinois.

She was a member of the Arbela United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 9, 1978, in the Arbela Methodist Church, Arbela, Missouri, at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Neil Dubach officiating. Ann Luther played the music and Mrs. Elmer Revelle sang. Body bearers were Willard Mohr, Donald Mohr, Harry Callahan, Karl Kraus, Jr., Bud Garrett and Raymond Parker.
