EDITH A. KREISS

Edith Ann Kreiss, 76, of Keosauqua died at 2:04 p.m. Sept. 4, 1991, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born March 31, 1915, near Milton to Walter and Clara Wilson Winn. She married Joe Kreis on May 18, 1934, in Keosauqua. He died Aug. 11, 1972.

Shew as a 1933 graduate of Milton High School. She worked as a homemaker, at Hotel Manning, Van Buren County Care Facility, Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua. She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Gary and wife Vivian of Fairfield and Arlo and wife Ellen of Keosauqua; three daughters, Lana Boughner and husband Charles of Kellogg, Linda Brill and husband Wayne, and Jo Ann Kreiss of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Dickeson of Newhall, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Forrest Winn.

The services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, the Rev. Chrisa Ferguson officiated. Burial was in the Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Pedrick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Diabetes Association or Heart Association.
