EDGAR P. KOCH

Visitation was held at Pedrick Funeral Home Tuesday Feb. 9, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:45 p.m. with a rosary at 7:45. Military rites were led by members of the Beer-Barker Post 113. A funeral mass was held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington on Wed., Feb. 10, 1993, 11 AM. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Memorials can be left at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Iowa.

Edgar P. Koch, 88, of Cantril was found dead at his home Feb. 8, 1993. He died about 10 a.m. Feb. 7 of natural causes.

He was born July 18, 1904, near Donnellson to Edward and Kathryn Spiesz Koch. He married Cora L. Kerkove on Aug. 11, 1928, in Fort Madison; she died Nov. 24, 1986.

He was a graduate of Parsons College in Fairfield and taught at Montrose, Keosauqua, Cantril and Pulaski schools. He also managed a service station in Milton, and managed Green Bay Lumber Co. in Keosauqua. He had farmed at Milton, had been a school bus driver and worked for Van Buren County ASCS. He attended Cantril Christian Church, was a Mason, and was a member of Eastern Star and Cantril Lions Club.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Richard Koch.

He donated his body to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 1993 at Cantril Christian Church, the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will bein Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton, following anatomical study.

Memorials may be made to Cantril Christian Church.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.
