W.W. "Bill" King

Wendell Wesley "Bill" King, age 77, of Chandler, Arizona, died Thursday, June 9, 1988 at Humana Hospital, Phoenix. Mr. King was born in Hancock, Iowa, and came to Chandler from his native state in 1964.

He attended Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was a farmer and had been employed in road construction in Iowa. While in Chandler he was owner of King Enterprises, an income tax preparation service.

He was a member of the Masons, Grace Community Church, and was active in the Republican Party. He auctioneered for many local charity functions.

Surviving are his wife, J. Maxine King; a daughter, Donna Fox of Bradenton, Florida; three grandchildren, Kimberly Fox, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lee Ann Fox of Charlotte, NC, and William S. Fox Jr. of West Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Watson of Hancock, Iowa, and Muriel Henry of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; a brother, Wylie King of Hancock, Iowa.

Mr. King was preceded in death by a son, Jon Wesly King, in 1966.

Funeral services were at 10 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 1988 at Bueler Mortuary Chapel, 14 W. Hulet Drive, with Pastor Jim Rentz officiating.

Further services were held Monday, June 13, at United Methodist Church in Milton, Iowa with burial at Sunnyside Cemetery.
