Mabel M. King

Mabel M. King, 78, of Bloomfield, Iowa, died Monday morning, July 25, 1983, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born March 11, 1905, in rural Louisa County, Iowa, to William H. and Jane Elizabeth Grim. She was married to Carl G. King October 22, 1924, at the Bloomfield Methodist Parsonage by Rev. S.P. Trostle.

She was a past member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and was currently a member of the Bloomfield Open Bible Church.

Survivors include her husband, Carl; two sons, Rev. Charles W. King of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Dr. David C. King of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters, Mary E. Ellis of Ft. Worth, Texas; Suzanne K. Hendricks of Davenport, Iowa and Joanne Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa. She has 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Survivors include one sister, Hazel Bowling and one brother, Walter Grim, both of Bloomfield.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 28, 1983, at the Open Bible Church. Burial was at the South Wesley Church . . . (missing)
