BERTHA KENT

Bertha L. Kent, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1975 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born Feb. 24, 1892, in Davis County to Edward and Martha Spraker Cassett. She moved to Milton in 1960, and was a member of the Milton Christian Chruch.

She married Onley Kent, who died in 1934.

Survivors are one daughter, Josephine House of Milton; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Davis of Bloomfield and Helen Simmons of Ottumwa; and three brothers, Ross Cassatt of Bloomfield, Fern Cassatt of Moulton and Harold Cassatt of Milton.

The service was held Wenehday(err), Dec. 31, 1975 at 2 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

A memorial has been established payable to the heart fund.

Wagler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
