Mrs. Lee Ola Jackson

Lee Ola Georgia Jackson, youngest daughter of Thomas and Ida Lough, was born near Bloomfield in Davis county, Iowa, Dec. 11, 1906, and died Saturday, Nov. 17, 1962, at teh age of 55 years, 11 months and 6 days. She had been in poor health since 1950 and died unexpectedly at her home.

Mrs. Jackson had spent most of her life in Davis county, with the exception of three years near Vona, Colo.

She became a member of the Locust Grove church Jan. 14, 1925, and later moved her membership to the Grace Methodist church, Milton.

She and Carl L. Jackson were married Dec. 1, 1926, in the Bloomfield Christian church parsonage by the Rev. Macy. They were the parents of two daughters, Helen Carlene Sample of Bloomfield and Thelma Irene Morse of Burlington, and one son, Carl Leland Jackson of Burlington.

Survivors include her husband and children; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Tilarthia Evans of Ukiah, Calif., Mrs. Mary McGrew of Ottumwa and Mrs. Cora Wimp and Mrs. Helen McGhee of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Etta Bales; and four brothers, Jenkins, Hulbert and John Lough, and an infant brother.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1962, at Wagler funeral home, Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. Donald Arthur of the Bloomfield Methodist church. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
