LILLIE MAY HUNTER

Lillie May Hunter passed away at the Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield, Iowa on August 28, 1982 to 5:50 p.m. at the age of 79.

She was born to Daniel W. and Eliza Lawrence in Downing, Missouri, October 11, 1902 and married Homer H. Hunter on September 28, 1919. She resided most of her life in Milton, Iowa but moved to Stockport and Fairfield in later years.

Surviving children are Mrs. Opal Armstong of Farmington, Harry Hunter of Bedford, Mrs. Francis (Hazel) Boyd of Milton, Mrs. David (Anna Maye) Gipson of Mount Ayr, Mrs. Craig (Velma) Kaiser of Yale, Mrs. Donald (Wanda) Nance of Libertyville, and Beverly and Bill Grogan and family of Fairfield, who have been like members of the family for many, many years. Two surviving sisters are Daisy Daughterty of Blakesburg and Mrs. William Swartz of Creston, Ohio. Twenty-five grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren remain plus a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, one sister, three brothers and one great grandchild.

Services were held Tuesday, August 31, 1982 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Milton with burial at the Barker Cemetery at Downing, Mo.
