Yonna Hudson

Yonna Geneva Hudson, 79, a life long resident of Milton died July 1, 1996 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born July 26, 1916 in Milton to Verni A. and Hattie V. Smith Conner. She married Henry H. Hudson Feb. 4, 1940 in Bloomfield. He died Jan. 23, 1989.

She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Russell Strait Post No. 483 and former member of the Order of Eastern Star of Milton. She was a member of the Milton Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Harlean Hansen of Kingman, Ariz. and Diana O'Conner of Des Moines, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Preston Neal Hudson; a grandson, a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, 1996 at the Heritage House in Milton with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the First Responders of Milton.

Henkenius-Priester Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
