GRANDA B. HOLLEYWELL

Granda B. Holleywell, 69, of Donnellson, died Saturday, Sept. 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Madison Community Hospital after being admitted earlier in the day.

Born Feb. 5, 1909, at Albia, she was the daughter of Eugene B. and Nellie LaCoste Holleywell.

She was a resident of Donnellson for 35 years. For 30 years she was the Lee County Extension Home Economist. She had also served in Davis and Van Buren counties prior to her Lee county post. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Donnellson. She was a member of the Tri-T Society, Donnellson.

Her only survivors are cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service was held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Donnellson on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. The Pastor Donald Stoll officiated. There was also a funeral service in the First Christian Church at Albia at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial was in Oakview cemetery at Albia. Visitation was held Monday night in the Miller-Hofbauer. Funeral Home at Donnellson. Memorials were set up for St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Cancer Fund, or the American Home Finding Association at Ottumwa.
