ELIAS C. DULEY

Elias C. Duley, eldest son of John W. and Mary A. Duley, was born July 30, 1849, near Corydon, Ind., and died Dec. 4, 1924, at the home of his sister, Mrs. James Johnson of Roseville, Ill., aged 75 years, 4 months and 4 days.

When a small boy he came with his parents from Indiana and located near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, where he married to Susan A. Davis. To this happy union one daughter was born, who died Nov. 28, 1898. His wife passed away May 15, 1906. He was a member of the Christian church at Cantril, also a member of the Mt. Sterling I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He leaves to mourn his death three sisters and one brother: Martha M. Bell of Iola, Kansas; Sarah C. Davis of Benedict, Kansas; Jane Johnson of Roseville, Ill.; and Wm. Duley of Farmington, Iowa, also a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Sterling Christian church Saturday morning, Dec. 6th, Rev. Herbert C. Shaw, pastor of the Cantril Christian church, officiating. His brethren [cut-off].
