Schuyler Gooden

Funeral services for Schuyler Gooden were held Thursday, April 16, 1970, at the Milton Christian Church with James D. McKean officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside Cemetery.

Schuyler Hubert Gooden was born August 10, 1895 in Scotland County, Mo., the son of David Alfred and Mary Elizabeth Harl Gooden.

On August 26, 1931 he was united in marriage to Velma Yates. To this union four daughters were born: Margaret Silvers of Floris, Betty Bowling of Winfield, Kan., Mary Lou Dixon of Bloomfield and Nancy, who died in infancy.

He was a member of the Milton Christian Church and lived most of his life in the Milton and Troy area.

Gooden is survived by his widow; three daughters; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Francis of Carlsbad, Calif. and Mrs. Faye Speer of Milton; one brother, Earl of Milton; and 10 grandchildren.
