Estle Earl Gooden

Estle Earl Gooden was born March 4, 1920, in Davis County, Iowa, to Earl Edgar and Delphia Lasley Gooden. He died June 20, 1984.

He married Gwendolyn Price December 24, 1941, in Memphis, Missouri. They made their home on a farm south of Milton, Iowa, for 38 years. In 1979 they moved to Milton, Iowa. Although semi-retired, Estle continued to do some work on the farm until his death.

He was a member of the Milton Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Sherry Utzinger and Marsha Harward all of Milton, Iowa, and Rhonda Woodruff of Galt, Missouri; three brothers, Kenneth of Memphis, Mo., Laverne of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Robert of Milton, Iowa, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 22, at the Milton Christian church conducted by the Rev. Ed Pool. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, Iowa. A memorial has been established to his church. The Priester Funeral Chapel, Milton, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
