Walter A. Godown

Walter A. Godown, 90, Milton, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday at the Bloomfield Manor.

He was born April 16, 1889 in Van Buren County to George W. and Mary F. Smith Godown. He was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and a farmer in the area.

He married Laura Isenhower on June 28, 1912. She preceded him in death in 1929.

Survivors include one grandson, Jerry Kerkov of New London; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Milton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Ed Kail. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. The Priester Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established to the Milton United Methodist Church.
