Gilfillan dies; funeral held

Funeral services were held in San Francisco, Calif. Tuesday for Dr. Harold N. Gilfillan, who died Monday following a short illness.

He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. H.J. Gilfillan Sr. and a 1925 graduate of the University of Iowa's College of Medicine. He had been a surgeon in California.

Survivors include two sons, William of Greenfield, Mass. and Asa of Monterey, Calif.; three brothers, Dr. Earl Gilfillan of Memphis, Mo., Dr. Edwin Gilfillan and Dr. H.J. Gilfillan Jr. of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Mahanna of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Pauline Millstead of Flushing, N.Y. and Esther Gilfillan of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, C.D.N. Gilfillan and G.W. Gilfillan.
