Dale Edgington

OTTUMWA - C. Dale Edgington, 65, of 108 Fairview St. died at 2:55 a.m. Dec. 2, 1990, at his home.

He was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Ottumwa to Allen and Minnie Williamson Edgington. He married Mary M. Stansberry on Aug. 21, 1948, in Ottumwa.

He had lived in Milton and had been a resident of Ottumwa most of his life. He had been a mechanic at International Harvester Truck Division in Ottumwa. He was a member of Evangelistic Foursquare Church in Ottumwa.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Judith Stout of Ottumwa; three sons, Roger of Hastings, Neb., Steven and Kevin, both of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and three sisters, Wilma Bales and Pauline Stafford, both of Ottumwa and Ruth Green of Blakesburg and Tuscon, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Clyde.

The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. George King officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A memorial has been established to American Lung Association.
