Phyllis A. Davis

Phyllis A. Davis, 79, formerly of Bloomfield, died Friday, Oct. 7, 1988, at Community Hospice in Peoria, Ariz.

She was born Jan. 16, 1909, in Van Buren County to Edward and Birdie Spraker Cassatt. She was a homemaker and a member of the Navy Wives Club in Pensacola, Fla. She married Jakie Davis Sr. Nov. 5, 1933, in Kahoka, Mo.; he died July 21, 1981.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Wright of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sharon Mott of Waterloo; a son, Jakie Davis, Jr. of Danville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Simmons of Colorado.

The service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1988, at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, the Rev. Quentin Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

A memorial has been established.
