Lela H. Cundiff

Lela H. Cundiff, daughter of Alfred and Bessie Harman Lunsford, was born July 17, 1914 near Milton and died the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1987 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center at the age of 72.

She married George Lee Cundiff April 2, 1939 at Lancaster, Mo. They operated a plumbing and heating business in Milton for many years. Mrs. Cundiff was a member of the Milton Christian Church and the South Prairie Go and Chatter Club of Milton.

Surviving are a son, Lee Dean Cundiff and his wife, Mary, of Moberly, Mo., three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, a great granddaughter, four step great grandchildren, a brother, Glen Lunsford and a sister Daisy Schlotter, both of Milton, other relatives and friends. Her husband, a brother, Roy Lunsford, and a grandson, Bobby Cundiff preceded in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, 1987 at 11 a.m. in the Milton Christian Church with Ed Pool, minister, officiating. Interment was in South Prairie Cemetery south of Milton. A memorial was established for her church. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
