DOROTHY A. CRILE

Dorothy A. Crile, 83, of Route 1, Fairfield died at 4:25 p.m. September 24, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born Aug. 5, 1910, in Jefferson County of Christian and Lydia Kern Pohren. She married Andrew P. Crile April 10, 1929, in Fairfield.

She lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and worked at Universal Producing Co. in Fairfield from 1962 to 1970. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Fairfield, Lockridge Senior of Fairfield, Lockridge Senior Citizens and Sizzlin' Seniors Kitchen Band. She was an active 4-H leader committee woman.

She is survived by a son, Keith of Fairfield, three daughters, Lois Brokken and Loretta Diers of Fairfield and Betty Jacobs of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford of Farmington and Leonard of Washington; and three sisters, Viola Norton of Washington, Eunice Mann of Packwood and Norma Hesseltine of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Harold and Everett.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1993 at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, the Dr. John Church in Fairfield, the Dr. John Meyer officiating. Burial was in New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery north of Lockridge.

Memorials may be made to her church, New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery or Lockridge Senior Citizen Center.

Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, was in charge of arrangements.
