Mrs. Oscar Cox Services Were Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Cox were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Reverend John Gooch officiating.

Eva Edith Gooden, daughter of David and Mary E. Gooden was born April 6, 1884, in Scotland County, Mo., and died November 18, 1967, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cecil McAnulty, Macon, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar L. Cox; a daughter, Cleva; and two sons, Lowell and Carl.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.L. (Gladene) Hollander, Centralia, Missouri, Mrs. Cecil (Maudie) McAnulty, Macon, Missouri; two grandsons, David Hollander of Kokamo, Indiana, and Robert Hollander, a senior at William Jewell College; a granddaughter, Margaret Hollander of Kokomo, Indiana; and two sons-in-law.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Cora Francis of Whittier, California, Mrs. Mae Abernathey, Memphis, Missouri, and Mrs. Clifford (Faye) ?peer, Milton, Iowa; several nieces and nephews. One brother, Glen Gooden of Cedar Rapids, died in 1961.

Pall bearers were Charles Harris, Grover Bertram, Birney O. Reeves, Earl Beeler, Kermit Rose and Harold Tiplett.
