MABEL JANE COWARD

Mabel Jane Coward, 81, Memphis, Mo., (formerly of Ottumwa), died June 1, 1992, at Memphis, Mo.

She was born in White City, Iowa November 28, 1910 to Levi and Clara Furnell Doty.

Mabel married Kenneth Coward, March 24, 1928, in Eddyville, Iowa. He died in 1972.

Mabel was a member of the Christian Church in Milton, Iowa.

Before retiring, Mabel was employed in the housekeeping department of the Ottumwa Hospital.

Survivors include daughters, Lois Roberts, Luray, MO., Donna Pender, Port Byron, ILL., brothers, Floyd Doty and Richard Doty, Oskaloosa, IA., a sister, Aretta Dykstra, Indianola, IA, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 4, 1992 at 1 P.M. at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home, Ottumwa, the Rev. Richard Goins officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Shrine of Memories Funeral Home, Ottumwa, was in charge of arrangements.
