CHARLES JUNIOR COOK

Charles Junior Cook 46, passed away Sunday, March 9 at 9:00 A.M. He was dead on arrival at the Graham Memorial Hospital, Keokuk, following a heart attack at home.

Junior was born July 30, 1928 at Keosauqua, Iowa, to Charles Daniel and Lena Wiley Cook.

He was united in marriage on October 5, 1949 to Valora Miers at Keokuk. He was a welder at the Keokuk Stell Castings Co., a member of the Eagles and a veteran.

They had two sons, Mark and Mathew, both of Keokuk.

Besides his wife Valora and two sons, he is survived by a granddaughter and four sisters, Maxine Greenfield, Fairfield; Marjorie Bruccini, Omaha, Nebraska; Mary Hunter, Fayette; Betty Leydens, Birmingham and four brothers, Ned and Larry of Milton, Bill of Eldon and Kenneth of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.

Services were held Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, Keokuk, Rev. R. Terry Haulstead officiating with burial in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, Iowa.
