BEIRD SADDLER RITES AT BOONE
BONAPARTE~~Funeral services for Beird Saddler, 74, former Bonaparte resident who died April 25, were held at the Welin Chapel, Boone, Iowa, April 27, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Bubna officiating. Burial was in the Linwood Park cemetery at Boone.
Mr. Saddler was born at Bonaparte, Feb. 3, 1887. He was married to Edna Browning on April 8, 1917, at Farmington. He was retired engineer on the Chicago and Northwestern railroad and had been a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife Edna, one daughter, Mrs. John Winters, Boone; a brother, Ross Saddler, Fort Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Scott, LaHabra, Calif.; and Mrs. Nellie Dever, Iowa City; and five grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers prededed him in death.
