ROSS SADDLER
Ft. Madison -- Ross Saddler, 84, 2412 Ave. J, Ft. Madison, died at 6:10 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Sacred Heart hospital here. He had been in failing health the past six months.He was born Oct. 8, 1889, at Bonaparte, the son of Charles and Sarah Stackbarger Saddler. He married Catherine Temborius May 4, 1920. After her death in 1951, he married Gertrude Snyder June 24, 1958. He was a member pf Sacred Heart Catholic church, World War I veteran, America Legion member, Moose lodge, and senior citizens.
Surviving: Five daughters, Mildred and Rosemary Saddler, both at home, Sister Ruth Saddler, Ft. Madison, Mrs. Gladys Salata, Franklin, and Mrs. Paul (Beatrice) Hottenstein, Humbolt, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bill (Mildred) Sallen, Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Joseph Hines; Sacred Heart Cemetery. Christian wake service, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Barr Memorial Chapel. A memorial to the Cancer Fund has been established.
