Death Takes K.L. Nelson

Kenneth LaVerne Nelson, 64, Fairfield Route 1, was dead on arrival at Jefferson County Hospital Saturday afternoon. His death was sudden and unexpected.

Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Lingwall in charge. Burial will take place Evergreen Cemetery.

Nelson was born Jan. 13, 1913 at Lockridge. He was the son of Frank and Cora Shuppy Nelson. On Aug. 30, 1951 he was married to Dorothy Stoner. He farmed and had lived in this community most of his life. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are his widow, and three step-children: Patricia Ann Davisson of Route 1, Richard Louth of Clinton, and Ronald Louth of Birmingham. There are 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Raymond Kurtz of Brighton. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Visitation is tonight from 7 to 8 at Behner Funeral Home.
