Fay Parcell Dies At 70

Fay Elizabeth Parcell, 70, died early today at the Jefferson County Hospital. She was admitted Thursday morning after suffering a stroke at her home in Milton.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Lemons and the Rev. Glen Willier officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetry.

The casket will be taken to the family home in Milton Saturday where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Mrs. Parcell was born March 9, 1907 near Libertyville, the daughter of Tilman H. and Nettie Estella Morrison Grimnes. She attended Fairfield High School and received her degree at Parsons College in 1932.

Mrs. Parcell taught school for several years and later served as a real estate broker. She was married Oct. 16, 1934 to Homer J. Parcell, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Janet Jones, Fairfield Route 2; two grandchildren, and a nephew, John Parcell, who has made his home with the Parcells.

Also surviving are a brother, John Grimes, Richland; and a sister, Florence Syfert, Cantril.
