Burr Burchett

Burr Burchett, lifelong Milton area farmer passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield following an apparent heart attack a few hours earlier. Burr was 76 years old, being born to John and Martha Bonar Burchett October 27, 1899 near Milton.

On January 13, 1926 he was united in marriage to Aneth Price, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter, Burr Burton who is in the U.S. Navy, presently at Daigo Garcia, an island off the coast of Africa; Edwin of Milton and Charlotte Swanson of Danville. There were two grandsons and two granddaughters.

Burr was an active promoter of rural and farm improvement, being active in Sheep and livestock raising. He served on the REA Board, Palmyra, Mo. for 20 years serving as secretary on that board for 10 years as well as the Bloomfield REA for 20 years, serving for 10 years as Vice President and six years as Secretary.

Wellborn Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of arrangements. Service are pending.
