Mrs. Clyde Miller

DOUDS - Mrs. Mary Miller, 88, widow of Clyde Miller, died about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. She became ill Saturday night at her home east of Douds, and was dead on arrival at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The daughter of Christian and Barbara Blankenhorn Kunzman, she was born Sept. 21, 1882, in Wurttenberg, Germany. She came with her parents to Van Buren County at the age of four, and had lived in the Douds community most of her life. She was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 26, 1902, she married Clyde Miller. He died in 1948. She was the last of a family of nine children. Surviving are a son, Homer Miller of Douds; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday ?? p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, conducted by the Rev. Millard Marshall of Keosauqua. Burial was in the Leando Cemetery.
