Dewitt Lowe

Dewitt Humphrey Lowe, 75, died June 21, 1971 at McAllen, Texas. He was born and reared in Davis County, near Lake Wapello, the son of Agnes Humphrey and Douglas Lowe.

He married Mildred Huffman of Bloomfield. To this union were born two children, Richard Lowe of Bigelow, Minn. and Patricia Pogue of Cedar Falls.

He retired from the farm in 1958 and moved to Texas.

He is survived by his wife, his two children, four grandchildren, one brother, H.R. Lowe of rural Drakesville and one sister, Mrs. Irene Courtney of Seal Beach, California. Mrs. W.M. Boatman of Milton is a niece.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Wilfred and Gus; also two sisters, Mrs. Florence Courtney and Mrs. Ora Ireland.

Burial was at McAllen, June 24.
