Mrs. Hazel Metcalf

Mrs. Hazel Caroline Metcalf, 77 Ft. Madison, died Thursday, March 25 at Sacred Heart hospital in Ft. Madison.

She was born July 12, 1893 in Bonaparte and spent most of her life in Ft. Madison. She was a retired Sheaffer employee and had taught piano for 45 years. She was married twice, first to Herman Wyrick who died in 1911. After his death she married Louis E. Metcalf who died in 1929. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church.

Surviving are one son, Howard Metcalf, of Ft. Madison; three daughters, Mrs. Charles McGlothlin, Mrs. Conrad Bohnenkamp and Mrs. William Kress, all of Ft. Madison; 20 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephew.
