Maurice F. Roush

Maurice Frank Roush, 77, died at 2:30 a.m. April 5 in French Hospital, San Francisco. He was a former resident and operated a garage in Keosauqua for 30 years.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roush, he was born July 22, 1893 at Lebanon. He married Faye Strait Jan. 19, 1915. She died Jan. 1, 1942. ON Aug. 20, 1944 he married Marion Marshall of Milton, who died Aug. 13, 1959.

He is survived by a son, Maurice Dean of Chippewa Falls, Wisc.; a daughter, Mrs. Gwenyth Hanns of Pacifica, Calif.; a sister, Clara of California and a brother Julius of Arizona. There are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A son, Craig, died in 1967.

In 1943, Mr. Roush moved from Keosauqua to Keokuk, where he was employed at the Sieg Co. In 1969 he moved to Wisconsin and made his home there with his son and in California with his daughter.

He was a member of Keosauqua Congregational Church, where the funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Millard Marshall, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery.

The body was taken to the Catcott Funeral Home. The family received visitors at the home of Mr. Roush's sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Campbell of Keosauqua.
