Mrs. Hubert Hellweg

Mrs. Hubert (Margaret) Hellweg, 75, of Omaha, Nebraska died February 18 at 7 a.m. at the Manual hospital in Omaha. She had been ill the past three weeks.

She was born October 17, 1895, at Houghton, the daughter of Conrad and Christina Pomberg Mertens. She had been a resident of Omaha the past 45 years.

She married Hubert Hellweg in June 1919 at St. John's Catholic Church at Houghton.

Surviving are her husband, one brother, Henry Mertens of Mount Pleasant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.

The body arrived at the Link Funeral Home, West Point, on Saturday noon. The recitation of the Rosary was held Sunday at 8 p.m. by the parish.

The funeral service was held Monday, February 22, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church, Houghton. The Rev. Albert Goetzman officiated. Burial was in St. John's cemetery at Houghton.
