Mrs. Nettie H. Morris

Mrs. Nettie Huffman Morris, 98, a long time resident of the Stockport vicinity, died Friday, Feb. 5, at the Garden Court Nursing Home in Des Moines, Iowa.

She was born April 27, 1872, daughter of John and Melissia Beswick Huffman. She was married to Charles (Chad) Morris, October 13, 1897.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Brown, Gretna, Nebr.; Mrs. Margret Harper, 4310 Franklin, Des Moines, Iowa; three granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren. Her husband and one son, Phil, are deceased.

She was a member of the Christian Church and the C.W.F. and a charter member of the L.L.G. Federated Women's Club. She taught school in her early years and always took an active part in all school, church and community affairs as long as she was able.

She had made her home with her daughter in Des Moines the past ten years, before entering the Nursing Home last fall.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2 P.M. at the Stockport Christian Church. Rev. Chester Werft officiating. Burial in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport. Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Des Moines in charge of the services.
