Alice Huffman

Mrs. Alice S. Huffman, 83, Fort Madison, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison.

She was born Jan. 30, 1888, at Vernon, Iowa, the daughter of Winfield and Rhoda Merriott Scott.

She married Otto Huffman on Jan. 12, 1907, at Keosauqua. She lived most of her life in the Fort Madison area and was affiliated with the Methodist church.

Surviving: One son, Hazen, Ft. Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Bert Stein, Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barr Memorial chapel, Ft. Madison, Rev. George Moeller officiating. Burial in Hillcrest cemetery.
