Mrs. Fairie Standley

Mrs. Fairie E. Standley, age 90, 609 Ave. D, Ft. Madison passed away at 10:50 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 16 at her home. She had been ill since April of 1970. Her funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Barr Chapel in Ft. Madison. The Rev. Gerald Sawyer officiated. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery at Stockport.

She was born Oct. 6, 1880 at Stockport. She had lived in Ft. Madison since 1945, prior to that she lived in Stockport.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and belonged to the Anna Courdrey Circle of that church.

She was married on Dec. 25, 1906, at Stockport, to George W. Standley, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Harlan Standley of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Berdena Orr of Ft. Madison; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; a niece and a nephew.

Her parents, Albert and Jane McVeigh Harlan, are deceased.
