AGNEW, LOCKE, STONEBRAKER, VAN HOOSEAR, BELL

Mrs. Blanche Agnew

Mrs. Robert (Blanche) Agnew, 71, Donnellson, died unexpectedly in her home at 1:15 P.M. Saturday, Dec. 5.

She was born in Union Township in Van Buren County, Iowa mar. 28, 1899, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Locke Stonebraker. She was married to Robert Agnew on Aug. 26, 1925 at Burlington. He preceded her in death Feb. 14.

Mrs. Agnew taught school in Van Buren County for several years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the Womens Association, having served as President, also held other offices; member of Chapter 1, PEO at Keosauqua; Past Matron of Artaban Chapter OES; a charter member and Past President of Chapter CK, TTT, Donnellson.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lester (Opal) Van Hoosear, Quincy, Mich.; Mrs. Fletcher (Margaret) Bell, Donnellson, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, John, Leonard and N. Brown Stonebraker and one sister, Harriet Mary Stonebraker.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 P.M. by Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at the Donnellson Presbyterian Church with Rev. Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. Mrs. Mary Jane Harris sang "The Beautiful Land". Helen Paisley was organist. Pallbearers were Harbin Sheffer, Wm. Schreiner. A.B. Brookhart, Wever Smith, John Schoene and Glen W. Sawin.

Burial was in the Evangelical Cemetery.

Those away attending services were Mrs. Lester Van Hoosear, Quincy, Mich.; Mrs. Norman Jobes, Steve, Amy and David, Melvin, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hainds Hamilton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hornbaker, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hornbaker, Bonaparte; mr. and Mrs. Brown Agnew, Winterset; Dr. and Mrs. John Agnew, Des Moines; Alma and Lester Lindsay, Birmingham, and William Agnew, Keosauqua.
