Nellie A. Satterly

The funeral service for Nellie A. Satterly, 80, of Farmington, was held Friday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. in the Farmington United Methodist church with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating.

Mrs. Satterly died Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 2 a.m. in Graham hospital, Keokuk. She had been ill two weeks.

She was born January 26, 1890 at Primrose, the daughter of Benton and Mina Eyler Poole and spent her childhood in Primrose.

She married S.O. Satterly on March 12, 1913 at Primrose. He preceded her in death. She was a resident of Farmington 46 years.

Mrs. Satterly was a member of the United Methodist church, Farmington; a past worthy matron of Mizpah chapter No. 24 O.E.S.; a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the W.S.C.S. She was a member of the Cemetery Association and served on the board for several years.

Surviving are three sons - Willard and Dale, both of Keokuk, and Robert of Farmington; three daughters - Marjorie Ramey of Farmington; Virginia Saboski of Clifton, New Jersey, and Mina Lou Wallace of Hamilton, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Oscar (Marie) Schock of Donnellson; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.

Memorials were established for the church and the library.
