Benjamin E. Seeley

Benjamin E. Seeley, 74, died Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Harlan House in Mt. Pleasant, where he had been living.

Mr. Seeley was born June 8, 1896, in LaCrew, Ia., the son of Sen. W.B. and Elizabeth Ketcham Seeley. He was a farmer and a graduate of the University of Iowa. At the time of his death he was a director of the Henry County Savings Bank.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Darrell Barker of Dubuque, Mrs. Robert Beattie of Coyanosa, Tex., Judson Seeley of Donnellson; one sister, Mrs. Florence Lodwick of Burlington; 12 grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 24at 3:30 P.M. at the Sharon Church in Lee county. Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was in Sharon cemetery.
