Elven Bonnett

Elven Bonnett, 84, died Tuesday night, September 1st at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield. He had been in failing health for several years.

Born Feb. 25, 1886, in Birmingham, he was the son of Amos and Luella Ford Bonnett. He married Lucille Huber on May 4, 1915. He had lived in the Fairfield and Birmingham communities most of his life, and farmed for a number of years.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Slater of Jackson, Miss.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Frank of Birmingham.

The service was at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4th at Weston Behner Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.
