Kenneth Downing

Kenneth Robert Downing, 60, died Saturday in Springfield, Ill. where he had lived for a number of years.

The son of Robert and Virginia Christy Downing, he was born in the Oak Hill and Troy schools. He married Naomi Conner of Milton on July 29, 1933. She survives.

Other survivers(sp) are one son, Karl Downing of Park Forest, Ill.; one daughter, Karen Kilby of Springfield, Ill.; three grandsons; and one sister, Orleana Lasley of Corning, Calif.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield with a graveside service in the Troy Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. A.W. Crawley, pastor of the Bloomfield Open Bible Church officiated.
