Mrs. Berneice Dunshee

Mrs. Berneice Dunshee, 70, died at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at Van Buren Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua where she had been a patient since Aug. 2.

The daughter of Reason and Mary Miles Sherod, she was born Jan. 11, 1900 at Winchester. She attended Keosauqua High School. On May 18, 1918, she married Forrest Dunshee in Keosauqua. He died Feb. 9, 1956.

She was a member of the Keosauqua American Legion Auxiliary, W.S.C.S., Delphian, the Thursday Club, the Ft. Madison Moose and the Fairfield Elks.

She is survived by one daughter, Marion at home; one brother, Glenn Sherod of Keosauqua; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery. Catcott Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
