Edward W. Heise, 85, of Farmington, died Sunday, Aug. 2, at 8:45 p.m. at Henry Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

He was born Aug. 23, 1884 at Keosauqua the son of Henry August and Mary Schau Heise.

On Nov. 20, 1912 he married Nora E. Jesberg at her home near Farmington. She survives.

He was a lifelong resident of Farmington and was a farmer. He was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian church.

(. . . . .) his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Ray of Fairfield (. . . )(Pearl) Van Winkle of Hillsboro and Mrs. Lewis (Hazel) Van Winkle of Burlington; one sister, Martha Stevenson of Whitesburg, Ga.; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Sharon Presbyterian church with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial will be in Sharon cemetery.

The body is at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson.
