Arthur J. Miller
Arthur J. Miller, 88, of Farmington, died Thursday, July 30 at 8 a.m. at his home.
Born Feb. 16, 1882 at Bassett, Nebr., he was the son of Jasper and Molly Deadman Miller.
He was a resident of Farmington for the last 50 years and was the former owner of Miller's Feed and Grain. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He was married to Lola E. Clinton of Keokuk in Keokuk on June 21, 1903.
Surviving are his wife Lola; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Velma) Schmidt of Farmington; and two sisters, Mrs. Effie Reed of Warner, Okla. and Mrs. Ada Ascott of Aurora, Ill.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Mrs. Milton (Gladys) Priebe, and two brothters.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 1, in Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington at 2 p.m. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
