Mrs. Glen Heminger

Mrs. Sara Alvina (Sadie) Heminger, 70, of Bonaparte, died Friday, July 10, at 5 a.m. in the Hainline Rest Home, Bonaparte.

She was born Feb. 14, 1900 at Vernon, the daughter of John and Katherine Amanda Leggett Schuster.

On Aug. 14, 1917 at Vernon, she married Glen Heminger. He preceded her in death.

She was a former resident of Cantril and Mt. Sterling. Mrs. Heminger was a member of the United Methodist church at Cantril and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Fred of Green Forest, Ark., Glen of Reynolds, Ill. and Joe of Batavia; two daughters, Marjorie Hunt of East Moline, Ill. and Shirley Hill of Manly, Iowa; one brother, Allen Schuster of Carthage, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Sunday, July 12 at 2 p.m. in the Cantril United Methodist church with the Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Vernon cemetery.

Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
