Harold Whittington

Harold Whttington, 66, Hillsboro, died at 2 a.m. Monday, July 27 at the Jefferson County Hospital. He was a former Fairfield resident.

Whittington had been a resident of Hillsboro for 22 years. He was born Nov. 6, 1903 at Richland, the son of Dr. T.C. and Ora Trail Whittington. He was married to Lois L. Watson, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Richard Whittington of Douglas, Ariz., Verle Whittington of Stamford, Conn., and Bill Whittington of Des Moines.

Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ora Whittington of Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Marie M. Little of Fairfield; and one brother, Floyd Whittington of Bangkok, Thailand.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 29 at 2 p.m. at the Hillsboro Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Levi Winfrey. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
