Clyde J. Gaston

Clyde J. Gaston, 88, of Farmington, died Sunday, July 12, at 3:35 a.m. in Burlington Memorial hospital. He was ill one week.

He was born Nov. 11, 1881 in Van Buren county, the son of James and Rosa McIntire Gaston.

On Oct. 7, 1903 at Keokuk he married Ida Pitney. She died Jan. 7, 1969.

Mr. Gaston was a farmer and had served as county judge in Clark county, Mo. He was a member of the First Baptist church in Farmington.

Surviving is one son, Thad Gaston of Farmington; one grandson, Roger Gaston of Farmington; one niece and one nephew.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist church. The Rev. Ronald Cochran officiated. Burial was in Christy cemetery.

Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
